Skincare

I recently purchased some new skin care items. I went to Sephora earlier this week and saw this Body Shop Tea Tree skin care line. I currently use the Body Shop's blemish fade night lotion. The blemish fade night lotion is supposed to fade the acne scars that you have on your face. I don't use that night lotion consistantly because I forget so I am not exactly sure if it works. So, far with the cleanser, toner, and lotion seem to work very well. It makes my skin look so nice after I was it, and it makes putting on my face make up a lot more enjoyable. The tea tree line has a blend of three natural ingrediants, community trade tea tree oil, lemon tea tree, and tamanu oil. The combined ingredients are supposed to prevent blemishes and blackheads, and control oil. With continued daily use, it's supposed to fade previous blemishes and prevent future breakouts. I am hoping to see amazing results with these products. The set is valued for $44.00 but I got the kit for $29.00 at Sephora.

New York City Fashion Week

New York fashion week is here you guys and it's actually over today. It was from February 10-17 and I have been watching it stream live. The colors that I have seen over and over again for the next season is RED. The next few trends that I have noticed are maxi skirts are back again. I used to wear them all the time in high school but people thought it was weird. Another trend I noticed for the next season is very urban hippish looking clothes. I really liked the Micheal Kors runway, I thought all his pieces looked so nice and could be worn without looking too out there.

MAC Wonder Woman Collection

After long anticipated waiting, I finally received my MAC Wonder Woman collection products. I bought a total of four items, but I only received three today, plus my Nicki Minaj limited addition Pink Friday lipstick. My last lipstick from the Wonder Woman collection should be here on Monday.

I got the lipstick in Marquise'd which is a nude peach color, I tried it on and it seemed nice, I wasn't too impressed with the product, I also bought a lipstick in the color "Spitfire" which I will be getting in on Monday.

The two lip glasses I got were in the colors "Wonder Woman" and "Emancipation". These lip glasses are jumbo sized and huge. A lot larger then the regular lip glass size. To be honest though, I didn't like these lip glasses at all. The packaging seems cheap, and the brush is hard to get out of the tube, and the color doesn't glide on nicely. I wouldn't buy there products again. I thought that I was really going to like them too, but unfortunately I was wrong.

The last lipstick in the picture is, "Pink 4 Friday". It's the Nicki Minaj limited addition lipstick that came out with her CD. I got it extremely late, only because I didn't know about it. It was an online only exclusive. It reminds me a lot of the Viva Glam Lady Gaga lipstick, except this one might be just a smidge darker.

When I get my last lipstick on Monday I'll do another post, but over all I wasn't impressed, and I am not too happy with a few of the products I got. I feel like I could have gotten something better for the price that I paid for the lip glasses. And, the packaging wasn't all that great. Lesson learned, don't always buy on a whim.

Let's Get Naked

After trying to get a hold of this palette, I finally got it today. I got the Urban Decay Naked palette from a local Ulta store. This palette has been sold out at my local Sephora since October, and at my normal Ulta store for awhile. I am so happy that I finally got it.

I love this palette, the colors are very pigmented and neutral and can be used everyday. Six of the colors are permanent colors, one shade is re-promoted, and there are five new shades. It also comes with a duo eyeliner pencil. The colors are in "zero" and "whiskey". Some of the new palettes come with a brush now, so I was extremely happy that this one came with the eyeliner. The packaging is nice. The whole case is made of cardboard with a brown velvet over lay and "Naked" is written on the cover and on the inside of the palette. The price wasn't too bad, I got this palette for $48.00 + tax. I think it's worth every penny. Luckily if you can't get your hands on this palette right away, it's part of the permanent collection, so you'll have plenty of chances. Good luck on trying to get your hands on one :)

Ulta Haul

So, I had a test this morning in my Biology of Aging class, and I decided to reward myself for my hard work. After me and my boyfriend went to lunch, I went to Ulta on the mission to find the Urban Decay Naked palette, but of course they were sold out :( so I picked up a few other things that I ran into.

I picked up this new OPI nail polish from the Texas collection, because I am from Texas. I picked up the color "Austin-Tatious Turquoise"

It's a pretty blue green nail polish. You have to put at least three coats to make the color opaque on the nail though. But, other then that I think it's a wonderful color to have in my nail polish collection.

I also picked up the Benefit Brow Zings in the color "dark" and I also picked up a benefit hard angle brush to go along with the kit because the brushes that came along with the kit looked kind of dingy and they looked like they were going to break and the handle was extremely small.

Overall I like the products that I bought today. I still have to try the brow kit on myself, but the brand representative at the Benefit Brow counter put some on me and I liked it.

first.

So, this is my first blog post, and I have been prolonging this for a long time. This blog is going to be my beauty diary. I am going to have reviews and hopefully I will eventually start my youtube vlogging also. I am going to try to give my advice and insight on fashion and beauty according to my likes. So, here goes nothing.

My most recent purchase.

 Katy Perry Collection by OPI

Katy Perry's collection by OPI consisted of 5 colors. I picked up the pink one "the one that got away" first. I originally went to Ulta to find the "black shatter" nail polish, but they were sold out. Let me tell you how hard getting this color was. It was sold out at the four Ulta's near me and I even went to JcPenny's and it was sold out. I called everyday and finally they had some in stock, so I sent my boyfriend to go get it for me since I was at work. I wanted two but they limited the product to one per customer, and there was already a line for it. According to my boyfriend there were only 15 bottles or so in stock. I picked up the pink because it looked so nice on the demo with the black shatter, but when I actually painted my nails, the pink came out extremely dark after just two coats. When I finally got the black shatter, I tried it out on my nails, and the outcome was nothing like the demo. The pink barely showed through at all and the shatter over powered the whole nail. I have recently tried the black shatter with a drugstore silver and it turned out amazing!

pardon the mess around the nails, I cannot paint in the lines at all, my boyfriend always makes fun of me for it too :( so I just wait until it washes away ;) ghetto I know, but hey it works!
